The Travis Hays 21st Century Learning Center is the media center in Salmon Creek Elementary. It was named after Travis because Travis was the epitome of what Salmon Creek students are:  friendly, literate, curious, and physically able; all of these without perfection.

He was what we want for all our students without expecting them to be absolutely the best at everything.  It is these essential behaviors Travis exhibited that we want to highlight, extol, model and represent.

The center is named for him not because he died, but for what he was like when he lived.
