1. •FLL Lego Robotics Tournament - Salmon Creek Elementary and ORTOP (Oregon Robotics Tournament Outreach Program) host the FIRST Lego League Robotics Tournament  annually at Salmon Creek Elementary the first weekend of December.  Teams from all over Southwest Washington and Portland compete.  In addition to designing a robot to accomplish missions, each team gives a 5 minute presentation on a topic related to that year’s challenge. They also meet with another judging panel for a technical discussion on decisions related to development of the robot, and they participate in a teamwork exercise with a third judging panel. All four areas have equal weight in determining the overall winners.   As always, emphasis is placed on the FLL Core Values of teamwork, friendly competition, shared experiences, gracious professionalism and FUN!
